Types of PTE
There are two main types of PTE exams:
- PTE Academic: This test is recognized worldwide for both academic studies and immigration purposes. It assesses proficiency in English across four key skills: Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening. Scoring: The scoring for PTE Academic ranges from 10 to 90 points. Each skill (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) is scored separately on a scale from 10 to 90. The overall score is also reported on the same scale.
- PTE Core: This version of the test is a general English proficiency exam. It is accepted specifically for immigration purposes in Canada.
How PTE Exams Are Conducted & Duration
The PTE Academic exam is a fully computerized test conducted at official PTE test centers. It is powered by AI-based scoring, ensuring unbiased and accurate results.
